Guluchyadi Kashayam (also spelled as Guduchyadi Kashayam) is mainly used to regulate body temperature and as anti-infections especially if associated with burning sensation, excessive thirst, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. It has anti-microbial action and anti-inflammatory property. It can also be used to relieve heartburn, acid reflux, gastritis, nausea and vomiting with the sour taste of mouth and sour belching (burp).
In addition to these, it is also supportive for liver when Pita Dosha has predominance. It is likely to increase immunity, improve functions of liver and kidneys, and balance three Dosha (Tridosha). The main effects are observed on Pita Dosha, then Kapha Dosha, and Ama (toxins), and then Vata Dosha.
